Sign Post for Traffic Control Signs
Sign posts are made with extruded aluminum with an attractive Duranodic Bronze finish, custom paint colors are available. Posts with base plates are available in three standard lengths: 40", 60", and 90" or in custom lengths up to 90". Posts for direct burial mounting (without base plates) are available in four standard lengths: 40", 60", 90" and 120" or in custom lengths up to 120".
Sign Post Mounting Recommendations
- Single Post: Use a single post to center or flag mount signs up to 26"wide. A bracket for attaching the post to the sign will be installed on the sign at the factory.
- Double Post: Use post with or without a base plate to side mount or projection mount for signs wider than 26". Posts should be mounted to one or both sides of the sign and travel the full width of the sign.
- Hanging Sign: Use single or double posts with a base plate for hanging a sign from the ceiling, pendant style.
- Projection Mount: Use single or double posts with a base plate for projection mounting.
- Use Decorative, Heavy Duty 4" Square Post when:
- Posts are 90" or longer
- Mounting a sign that is over 12 sq ft.
Post Types
Rectangular Sign Post
2¼" x 3" extruded aluminum post has a 0.080 wall thickness and features a mounting slot on one side for sign mounting. The post is available with a 6" x 6" aluminum base plate for surface mounting or without for direct burial mount. Each post includes an end cap and locking square to secure the sign in place.
Standard Post finish is Duranodic Bronze, custom paint colors are available. Posts with base plates are available in three standard lengths: 40", 60", and 90" or in custom lengths up to 90". Decorative Heavy Duty Sign Post
4" x 4" extruded aluminum post has a 0.115 wall thickness and a welded 12" x 12" aluminum base plate with gussets. The Post features a fluted edge design and features a mounting slot on four sides for sign mounting. Each post includes an end cap and locking square to secure the sign in place.
Standard Post finish is Duranodic Bronze, custom paint colors are available. Posts are available in four standard lengths: 40", 60", 90", and 120" or in custom lengths up to 120"L.
Mast Arm Post
The Mast Arm Post is designed to support a free-hanging 6 foot wide Signal-Tech Clearance I-Bar. It is constructed with extruded aluminum vertical and horizontal uprights and features a welded 12" square base plate with gussets. Overall dimensions are 120" high x 108" wide. Not recommended for Clearance I-Bars over six feet wide.
